KGL is seeking Senior Editorial Managers of Mathematics for K-6 and 6-12 to join our US-based remote team. Candidates should be passionate and knowledgeable about educational publishing and have a proven track record of successfully completing projects and programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage programs and/or parts of programs moving through the department

  • Identify, train and maintain teams of writers and editors

  • Guide teams in content development, providing feedback and monitoring quality

  • Build and maintain program writing and editing guidelines

  • Maintain schedules and provide creative solutions when needed

  • Establish and build good communication with in-house publisher contacts

  • Work with internal teams of design, art, and production on full service projects

  • Support management to help meet revenue goals and strategic initiatives

  • Problem solve and establish priorities to achieve the overall goals of the project

Qualifications/Skill Requirements

  • 15+ years experience in educational publishing

  • Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education with teaching experience

  • Experience in managing complex educational publishing projects

  • Expertise in elementary or middle/high school math textbook content and pedagogy

  • Familiarity in developing standards based content

  • Ability to span concurrent tasks/projects assessing performance, addressing issues, and driving execution

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
