Duties and Responsibilities:
The Higher Education Group seeks an eLearning Product Manager to join its Product Management team. The Product Management team consists of ~4 people dedicated to the development, acquisition, and delivery of eProducts for use in educational business curricula around the world.
Reporting to the Senior eLearning Product Manager, the eLearning Product Manager manages acquisition, design, development, and support processes related to an eProduct portfolio consisting of online courses, web-based business simulations, online business tools, and video products. Areas of responsibilities include:
Manage software and content product development projects, including remote vendor and contractor management and full budget, schedule, and documentation accountability.
Manage the adaptation and integration of 3rd party products into the eProduct portfolio and work with appropriate internal resources to prepare them for distribution.
Own the product quality assurance and release management aspects of projects.
Work with Higher Ed stakeholders and other HBP service departments to manage all aspects of the product lifecycle from conception to launch and support.
Perform research and special projects as necessary to support product development initiatives and goals.
Maintain project management infrastructure including documentation, status websites, internal status communication, and platforms for vendor collaboration.
Required Experience:
3+ years software project management or product management experience in an academic or publishing environment
Ability to prioritize among competing demands and achieve success with aggressive timelines and limited resources
Outstanding project management and multi-tasking/organizational skills
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills (interpersonal and writing)
Proficiency with desktop applications (MS Office and Visio), project management software (MS Project or equivalent), and basic web applications
Ability to thrive in and contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration Vendor management experience preferred
Technology planning and portfolio management experience preferred
Bachelor degree or higher
