Marketing Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

School Specialty Science and Math, an educational publisher serving the K-12 market with curriculum including FOSS and Think Math, has an immediate opening for two Marketing Managers, one for elementary science and the other for elementary math. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, these marketers are responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans for our proprietary core and supplementary curriculum lines. Areas of responsibility include developing integrated marketing initiatives across multiple venues, marketing support for the sales force, direct marketing, market analysis and reporting, participation in product development, and budget management. The marketing manager will work as a team player with others in the marketing department by sharing information, direction, and assistance, and will work closely with the sales team, our product development partners, and others both inside and outside the organization.

Required Experience:

The successful candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of the K-12 school science and math markets, and experience in marketing curriculum and supplementary instructional materials particularly in the elementary school market. The right person will have strong leadership skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to work effectively with others at all levels inside and outside the organization. We are looking for an energetic, creative problem-solver, who can write and speak effectively. A Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of marketing experience is a must, and an MBA is preferred. Some travel is required.
