Online Project Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the departments new media needs, plans, and strategies. It is directly accountable for project coordination of the development and placement of new media marketing-related deliverables for the Internet and other mediums. Candidates should have strong organizational, project tracking, and communication skills first and foremost.

This includes staying abreast of all Pearson Math and Science titles as well as working with the product teams to give special focus  new media/web marketing strategies and targeted content  for key titles. It requires clear communication and consistent follow up with marketing and discipline product teams to develop appropriate strategies and implementation, as well as participating in planning meetings to assist with promotional concepts.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
MOTION GRAPHICS/ONLINE PROMOTIONS:
" Responsible for routing scripts and storyboards to product teams
" Includes coordinating and assisting with pre-production and on-set details
" Assist with contracting and scheduling vendors
" Identifies and gathers resources and assets needed
" Pre-reviews deliverables prepared by vendors before passing to team leaders
" Involved with casting for video production
" Collaborates with MC2 staff on concepts for promotions across hubs
" Gathers assets for HTML emails, eChapter, and eBrochures
" Coordinates the content and assets for PowerPoints

PROJECT TRACKING/COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:
" Plan and schedule project timelines
" Track project deliverables using Infowit
" Monitor and report progress of project to all stakeholders
" Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
" Quality assurance
" Manages on going input and revisions from all appropriate departments
" Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
" Coordinating and tracking developers/designers and outside resources in the development of approved site and application requirements from project initiation through post launch phase
" Tracks and monitors day-to-day operational aspects for multiple projects
" Acts as liaison between in-house management team and production staff

ADMINISTRATIVE AND STANDARDS/GUIDELINES:
" Tracks and reports team hours and expenses
" Ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project
" Archives jobs upon completion. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
" Schedules client meetings and writes effective follow up memos and action item lists.
" Attends regular status meetings with project team
" Act as advocate for MC2 processes and procedures
" Ensures consistency and accuracy by proofreading all motion graphic and online promotions

Required Experience:

Qualifications
" Bachelors Degree required.
" Understands the online media process from conception to launch
" Basic knowledge of information architecture, website protocol and online design
" Is familiar with current technologies including but not limited to: HTML, CSS, various scripting languages, content management systems
" Has working knowledge of standard design programs: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator
" Current knowledge of W3C standards
" Project management skills including working concurrently on multiple projects simultaneously with challenging deadlines
" Highly motivated individual able to complete projects quickly
" Excellent written and verbal communicator
" Must be a team player and able to take direction
" Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

Other
" Must be a team player, flexible, able to manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with designers and writers.
" A passion for education and/or publishing is highly desired.
