iOS/Web Developer

A passionate Web and Mobile Application developer

Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a passionate Web (HTML5, PHP, MYSQL) and Cocoa Touch application developer who wants to play a part in creating the next generation of educational websites and applications for use in schools across the country. As part of a small team of engineers, rapidly prototype and develop user interface features for websites and different mobile devices, with a specific emphasis on the iPhone platform. Develop innovative new user interface designs and experiences to enable new ways to leverage the Internet and mobile platforms for 21st Century learners.

This job requires a combination of mobile application and web development skills. On the phone side, you will be working on incorporating into applications cool things to do with location, social networks (like Twitter and Facebook), new Web Services, and just about anything else you can think of to do with the rich mobile applications. On the web side you will work with designers and other developers to develop complex websites and create the code that runs behind the scenes. You will work to architect new code to allow for maintainability, extensibility, and re-usability.

Required Experience:

" HTML5
" Javascript
" PHP
" Web development
" Project Management
" Strong object oriented programming and design skills
" 1-2 years experience working with either the iPhone platform or the Mac OS X platform is highly desired.
" Experience in development in Objective-C and Cocoa, C++
" Extensive experience with Xcode, Interface Builder
" Experience with other Mobile platforms desired
" Understanding of various Web Technologies and Web Services (REST, XML, HTTP)
" At least 1 significant application in the Apple iPhone App Store
" Technical Product Management experience and excellent follow-through
" Solid coding practices including design documentation, unit testing, peer code-reviews, and a preference for Agile methodology
